Introducing the Percussion Play small babel drum
The smallest and most compact stainless steel tongue drum from the Percussion Play range; the babel drum has six beautiful notes and is tuned to a C major in the pentatonic scale.
The sensory, tactile nature of this drum, and the secure mounting onto a frame makes this drum perfect for permanent outdoor installation in sensory gardens and playgrounds. Babel drums should be played with the hands, preferably by striking with the fingers. However, in cases where players may have weakened grip/ limited dexterity, they can also be played with mallets.
Great for all ages and abilities
No previous drumming experience is required to play a babel drum and both children and adults will enjoy improvising with the mesmerising sound produced by the drum. The mellow tones are never brassy or too loud, making it the perfect instrument for musical exploration in the fresh air.

Surface fixed vs Ground fixed
There are two ways to install this Percussion Play product:
Surface fixed
The leg is attached to a base plate, which is then fixed into the ground using anchors. This provides a good amount of stability whilst making it possible to move the products around relatively easily.
Ground fixed
The leg is directed embedded into the ground, providing excellent, long-lasting stability but not allowing for movement.
