Tom's Studio is a little bit different to most pen makers. The first pen designed by Tom was inspired by his wife, Gemma, an avid calligrapher who used plastic mass-produced calligraphy pens which didn't reflect the quality of her work. He decided to take matters into his own hands. Combining his experience as a product designer and his background in furniture along with his experience working in a blacksmith's forge, he was able to manufacture a new pen for her. Tom's ideas for the stationery world took off from there; he founded Tom's Studio and has been using his creativity to create high quality unique pens and accessories ever since.

The Flourish Curve Straight Calligraphy Pen is a reinvented calligraphy pen. The intention was to create something that feels fantastic to use while still retaining a high level of durability.

Each pen is dip dyed by hand making every pen unique, each one is machined from a solid aluminium bar and the ferrule is made from stainless steel. It's designed to last. The body is contoured and fits comfortably in the hand.

The barrels are made from recyclable materials such brass and aluminium with no glues or unrecyclable plastics.
